What does everyone think the most effective martial art is?

I trained Shaolin Kung-fu and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for years

What does everyone think the most effective martial art is?
Quality of training is more important than style of training. Your emphasis should be on frequent, realistic techniques. Training should be done with a partner. Contact is required if you wish for your techniques to work in the street.

( I am starting to sound like a broken record, I do not understand why other people are not getting this ?)
Reply:Jiu-Jitsu
Reply:Wha
Reply:I think Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is the best, simply because most people do not know how to defend from it, especially people trained in more traditional martial arts.
Reply:I think that shaolin kung-fu and samurai are the best martial arts
Reply:i dont believe you, but in my very little expierence with UFC, it seems brazilian jiu-jitsu is the most effective
Reply:That is not my thing, but I heard several years ago the best was a mix of Jiu-Jitsu and ti kwon do (sp).

: )
Reply:Samurai is not a martial art for one thing but Aikido is and I would say from personal experience that ninjutsu is the most effective.
Reply:I think your question is a misnomer. There is no most effective art. What is effective depends on your opponent, your physical ability, the weather conditions, why you're fighting, etc... There are an infinite amount of variables that influence a fight.

I like the Jeet-Kune-Do philosophy (not an art form per Bruce Lee's own writing). Learning the body mechanics behind effective movement and striking. Learning the principles of armed vs unarmed combat and practicing the energy flow between the individuals in a fight. The philosophy allows whatever art you are using to be effective because it allows you to adapt yourself to the variables as they occur rather then have automated, formulaic responses to percieved situations.
Reply:OH man! Is it me or do anyone else notices the people IQ keep getting low and lower everyday?

Samurai isn't a martial arts!

The best is Tae Kwon Do and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu? No one in UFC, Pride, Shooto, or other orgizantion do Tae Kwon Do.

Seeing ninjutsu in person? It's a dead art, Hatasumi Masaaki is the last man who know this art and he doesn't teach it.

The best style are the one that competition. They have more experience, muscle memory, reflex memory, knowledge, and other things developed. They also generally are in better shape. That style tend to be Muay Thai, wrestling, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Judo, sambo, Kyokushin/seido karate, boxing, and few others.
